I hope you're right! I can't bare the thought of things still being the same by August. I was hoping for things to be vastly better by Spring.

Same, especially in the August heat! 🥵 I do wonder if Disney will keep the mask wearing rule in place for the entire year though 😕

I’m remaining optimistic. We managed a week in Greece last August and now there is a vaccine and better treatment options. I feel we will be able to travel by then, though I think there may be more hoops to jump through to get there.

They seem to have stepped up the border control and there are a few barriers that need removing now before we can go in August
Oh wow, I didn't see that 🙄 Was he meaning for the whole year or just up until Summer?

Good point!

I'm keeping an eye on the vaccine stats for the UK and rest of the world including the US. I'm reasonably optimistic re August. We went to France last August in the midst of everything (when we were allowed!) and had a great time, albeit with a lot of mask wearing etc. We'll be a year on by this August with millions upon millions of people having been vaccinated - there is no doubt we will be in a better place by then.

We swapped our Florida October 2020 hol to August 2021. I think we'll get there this time.

We have been told that we are working from home until September now following the latest government update.

I assume others in financial services will be in a similar position

We are booked to come out on 24th Aug
I must admit with each day that passes i am becoming less optimistic.
I am seriously thinking of rebooking Aug 2022.

after 3 cancellations to Florida 20, Feb 21 half term as expected cancelled
next event Easter canaries 10 nights ( doubtful)
Vegas may half term 1 week ( 50/50 at best)
August 21 75% optimistic (4 weeks ( 2 week i drive 2 x 1 week cruises)
Thailand 2 weeks Xmas 90% optimistic
Hoping by having a vaccination certificate may free up travel, clutching at straws.

Would be pretty unbearable wearing masks in the august heat and humidity, plus with my parents both in the 80s who would struggle
