US Airtours - Still no refund.

Our package holiday with US Airtours was cancelled on 17th June when we were due to fly on 24th June.

I was initially told that a refund would take 90 days. We are now over six months gone and I still am no further forward. US Airtours last contacted me in November to say refunds have been further delayed due to staff furlough. I then contacted ABTA who advised they had asked the operator to give me a refund date. I haven’t heard anything since and emails to US Airtours and ABTA last week have received no response.

I can’t claim back through my bank as the operator gave me their bank details to do a BACS transfer.

I am £4000 out of pocket and really don’t know where else to turn now to get this money back!

Did you pay any amount with Credit or Debit card?
Can you register a claim with the small claims court? You can do it online if it’s under £5000. I think as we are in Scotland you can raise a Simple Court Procedure too for money that they haven’t returned.

2littleboys - I replied to you some months ago as we are in the same boat, but have not waited as long as yourselves for a refund (holiday 3/9/2020) We were told the refund delay would be 90 days then 120 days (same reasons given) They owe us just under 16k . Please add any progress you make to this forum topic as we are obviously interested in your progress ? Its very frustrating !
