From other rereads, Staysure seems to be one of the few offering insurance that will cover Covid based on FCO advice a travel date rather than bookng date.

As at our renewal in June Staysure will cover you for medical costs unless you travel when the FCO advisory is in place.

Date of booking holiday or taking out insurance is irrelevant - only date of travel.

Cancellation due to Covid however only covered if you catch it within 14 days of travel

Mick

Great, thanks. We always take out insurance as soon as we book a holiday, so I will look into it now

There may be others that do it but because we're both post-cancer and both 74 we do pay around £850 a year so I do test the market every year.

Staysure were the cheapest of at least a dozen I tried in June. Their medical cover with Comprehensive is unlimited as well.

Ive booked with staysure and got the offer of 15 months for the price of 12 including my asthma. No idea if our trip to Florida will go ahead but we will look at Europe if there are any travel corridors or situations have improved to we included the FCO cover just in case quite happy with the price, came out at £60pp for the 15 months

I am glad you’re both ok now and can get insurance.

I’ve checked Staysure and it’s great! The quote is really good so will likely go for this.
Thanks for your help, Mick. Here’s hoping we all get back to Orlando soon

Everything crossed for everyone.

April 2020 lost, Nov 2020 lost, April 2021 who knows, Nov 2021 reasonably confident .

We should be jabbed by mid Feb but if FCO advisory stays there's no way we'd go with no medical cover.
