I phone se
Just seen this at weekend. I quite liked the smaller screen for a change. Thinking of apple for my next phone when I upgrade. Does any have this and is it basically a new model? I have an I pad and MacBook Air so was thinking of a smaller phone next time.

From what i gather its an iphone 5s with all the good bits of an iphone 6? I have had the 5s for a couple of years now and really like it.

It's the latest technology, so basically a 6S in a smaller wrapping - not the 6, that has been discontinued by Apple. The main difference between the 6S and SE I believe is the touch technology on the 6S is slightly better (faster) and has slightly better screen resolution.
Here’s the specs for the iPhone 6s: Display: 4.7-inch display with a 1334x750-pixel resolution at 326 pixels per inch ppi; 1400 to 1 contrast ratio; Dual-domain pixels for wide viewing angles Dimensions: 138.3mm x 67.1mm x 7.1mm Weight: 143 grams Storage: 16, 64, or 128GB Processors: A9 chip with 64-bit architecture and M9 motion coprocessor Front camera: FaceTime HD camera. 5 MP photos and 720p HD video. Rear camera: iSight camera. 12 MP photos. ƒ/2.2 aperture. 1080p video. True Tone flash. Battery: 1715 mAh. Up to 12 hours battery life mixed usage Touch ID: yes (2nd generation) NFC: yes Here’s the specs for the iPhone SE: Display: 4-inch Retina HD display with 1136x640 resolution at 326 pixels per inch (ppi); 800 to 1 contrast ratio Dimensions: 123.8mm x 58.6 mm x 7.6 mm Weight: 113 grams Storage: 16 or 64GB Processors: A9 chip with 64-bit architecture and M9 motion coprocessor Front camera: FaceTime camera. 1.2 MP photos and 720p HD video. Rear camera: iSight camera. 12 MP photos. ƒ/2.2 aperture. 1080p video. True Tone flash. Battery: 1642 mAh. Up to 12 hours battery life mixed usage Touch ID: yes (1st generation) NFC: yes So other than screen size, there is very little difference. I have the SE and love it. I didn't want the bigger size phone as I wanted pocket size. I upgraded from a 4S so felt the 6 and above were too big. Having said that, because the phone is so powerful and easy to use, I'm finding I'm using it more and more and as a result, I'm starting to think the bigger screen may have been useful. I think I based my decision on my 4S and tbh the SE so much a better phone that I use it more like a mini computer! I didn't do that so much with the 4S. I still love the SE - the live photos and slo mo are so good! But I think I may upgrade to a 6S at some point next year... My DD1 (11) would love a new iphone for Christmas and I was planning on a 5S refurb, however, a lot of her friends are getting the SE or refurb 6 (not 6S) for Christmas so I'm now feeling the pressure to get her an SE too! Also, I worry about the longevity of the 5S so it's probably best to take the financial hit now and get her a phone that will last a while with updates etc yet. Crazy at that age having such expensive kit! |

My daughter has it. It has a number of the features of the 6s but at the size of the 5. She really likes it, I find it small, but that's because I'm used to the 6 size now.

Thanks all, I liked the idea it could be held in one hand and texted with one hand too. Wonder if I'm too used though to a large screen I have galaxy s6 edge just now. Hmm don't upgrade till march but definitely will need a closer look .

If you have a bigger model now, I think you'll find it too small if I'm honest... It is a brilliant phone though. Of course the 6S is great, but a lot more expensive!

We've both got SE phones - bought them in Florida in May. It's our 1st iPhone having always had Samsungs. We absolutely love them. So quick, picture quality is great, and a nice size. We went for the 64gb which is more than enough for our use.

I've got the SE, and I'm really pleased with it. I don't like the larger screens on the 6/7, so find this perfect.

I can hold the 6 in one hand and text with it too, prefer the size of the 6 to the 5 though personally
