Mobile When to trick or treat

Hi! We’ve been away at centre parcs and got back today, so I hadn’t really thought about Halloween. We were going to decorate the house tomorrow and do pumpkins. We’ve just had some trick or treaters which I wasn’t prepared for so ran in to the kitchen and luckily had sweets in. I don’t know when it the best time to take the girls trick or treating, whether to do tomorrow and not interrupt people on a work night, or stick to Tuesday as it’s the proper day. What do you do?

I won’t entertain anyone trick or treating on any night except Halloween 🎃 regardless of what day of the week it is. We also have a cut off time of around 7:30/8. I don’t answer the door after that. Usually, we get most between 6-7. we had over 200 trick or treaters last year 😱. Not decorating the house this year though so probably won’t get as many.

Tuesday is Halloween - not before and not after for trick or treating.

Not decorating this year as we had so many last year! I think it should be Tuesday.

Not happening at my house at any time. I open the door, say not thank you and shut it.
They seem to understand apart from about 5 years ago when they pinched my bell!

However I now watch them on the CCTV and don't even answer the door.

Around here the kids are great and will only go to those houses that are decorated. But it’s got to be on Halloween itself - no way would they get anything a day before or a day after!

We usually decorate the house but like others we had so many last year and also had our cars scratched a few weeks after. We've invited ourselves to mil's for tea as she lives in a quiet street where there won't be many.

With regards to what day I wouldn't ever expect trick or treaters on any day other than Halloween.

When we lived in our previous house we used to have trick or treaters on Halloween only. Don't have any now because they can't get past the gate.

No offence but Trick or treat is only 1 day a year, the 31st October. We decorate our house and have lots of sweets in but nobody will be getting any before the 31st. Except me maybe
