Another who enjoyed. I thought it was actually pretty good. I’d love to know how accurate the sub size was.

I have just watched it and really enjoyed it. I have had a tour of a sub and it seemed accurate size to my recollection

Here’s a review that tends to agree its an accurate reflection

Love these sort of dramas, especially as it's got Suranne Jones and Martin Compston in.
Anything's better than the usual drivel of Love Island and the sort

It’s good that Martin Compston gets to use his proper Glaswegian accent, well Greenock accent!

Its nothing like the real thing. I should know as I have been in a few Vanguard SSBNs. The set has been designed for filming and makes the boat very spacious. For example the control room is far to wide, and there are no traditional periscopes on them and certainly isn't one in the control room.

If you want to know what they really look like inside then watch the Channel5 programme channel5/show/on-boa...arine-trident/

A SSBN on patrol would never send a message if a crew member died and would also never surface for a crew transfer, both would mean the patrol would be over and it would basically return to port.

Your recollection clearly differs from mine (and that of the reporter) - but I will leave it there …………it matters not really as I thin its a great series and my submariner friends seemed glued to to too

I watched both episodes last night and really enjoyed it, I didn’t realise it had just started so I was a bit gutted when there was no episode 3 but it was probably a good thing as I would never have gone to bed!
