Just seen the second episode. Really enjoying. Now really intrigued by jurisdiction in things like this in real life situations?

No idea about submarine sizes but looks like a palace compared to Red October

If the boat was on patrol then nothing would have happen regarding a police investigation until the boat finished it as no one ashore would know about as the boat on patrol would not transmit any signals. It would then be a joint investigation

Thankyou for this, so even if there had been a death, would the patrol continue and family not informed until the Sub finished the patrol?

I’m enjoying it and like others disappointed they’ve not put the whole series up on iplayer yet.
DH managed to get it on iplayer offshore in Turkey too, but as an ex submariner, like others picked a few holes in it 🙄😄
I’m just glad Martin Compston has made all those videos and saved them on the memory stick - he’s one of the reasons I tuned in 😉😄

I wondered if you and Mr Gull had watched it ? It follows our discussions at your house - how his career and mine (and my friend S) have interweaved over the years . Different path but in a way very similar

Lucky Mr Gull being able to watch them - maybe he should do a martin Compston and put them on a memory stick and send them home for us to view lol

I watched both episodes again last night with hubby.
My question for those in the know...if it was real life... would the Police investigating such a thing not be Military Police from the navy-do they exist? (I love reading Jack Reacher books so this is where my thoughts came from!)
