average cost of fitting LVT

i am trying to get an idea of cost to fit LVT, no prep work required and they seem easy. 5x4 metre room with a fire place and radiator in an alcove.

Should be a days work so what should it cost please

No clue but we got click LVT for our new house and have fit it ourselves. It's incredibly easy!

fitters usually charge £x per metre square

you have 20 m2

guess depends on were you are ? probably a lot cheaper up here than say surrey?

fwiw 1/2 day work there imo

I don’t have a price per room or Sq metre but we’ve just moved into our new house. We carpeted 3 bedrooms, a dressing room, stairs and landing and had LVT fitted in our porch, hall, office, living room and huge kitchen diner and the fitter charged £1350 for everything which was cheaper than I expected. That was for glue down LVT. He charged £200 to screed all the rooms with LVT (the screed cost £550 from the shop). That was about 3 days work including screeding.

LVT - luxury vinyl tiles.
they do look easy to fit, underlay is incorporated into the boards but i dont have the patience, the tools to cut it and will get bored easily.

Doesnt need to be glued, just click into place.

So far had a quote for £640 but this included replacing a radiator in the same room

£800 from the guys recommended by the shop

£350 from another guy

We paid about £800 I think a couple of years ago but there was a lot of prep work, three rooms and a slope to sort out, all glue down. There's a slight height rise between kitchen and utility room and he managed to slope it. He did a brilliant job and still looks fab.

Edited to say - ignore this, just seen you are having click, whereas this is glue down!
There will be prep work whatever you think. However here is the breakdown we had for our conservatory which was minimal prep work, ie just the screed, no ply or levelling needed.

Conservatory
To supply and Fit:
Karndean Knight tile Portland Stone
614.29
Karndean grout strip
121.84
Screed
176.30
Adhesive
92.00
Silicone and consumables
26.40
Laying screed
104.00
Fitting
228.00
TOTAL
1,362.83

The conservatory is probably about the same size as your room but in a P shape.

there is no prep work, this has been confirmed by those quoting as there is already plywood over the floorboards and the floor is level.

just silicone around the edges when laid to ensure it is waterproofed
