Mobile Confirmed HS Fastpass tier changes

Not sure if this has already been posted so apologies if it has.
Confirmed changes for Hollywood Studios FastPass tiers are as follows:

From August 29th Tier 1:
Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, AND Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Not much point in a tier 2 anymore!

I suspect it's readying for the paid for fastpass system, want tier 1, pay for them. More in tier 1= more cash.

Oh no doubt about it. It’s amazing how tinkering a little with the FP categories suddenly turns in to an instant cash cow for Disney.

This has made planning for our September trip really difficult. We have three days where we are FastPassing at HS and have decided on TOT, SDD and R&R as our FPS. We’ve then just chosen two tier 2s for each day which we will look to get out of the way ASAP so we can try to snag more tier 1s. Very annoying.

Just wondering whether it is anything to do with an attempt at crowd management for the opening if SWGE?

Of course, it could be to pave the way for paid FPs but the date of the start of this is also the date of the opening of SWGE. I guess it depends on whether they decide to move ToT and RnR back to Tier 2 at any point

If Disney (fingers crossed they don’t) start to charge for FP surely it can only start in 2021. I have just checked my booking for 2020 and I have free FP included in my ultimate tickets. Surely they can’t change that?

Its clearly being done for crowd management and makes perfect sense from that point of view.
