Haven't done manta, did mako in 2017, I honestly thought I was going to die of a heart attack! We all got off in silence! Lol

Mako for me. Having someones bare corny feet in my face once on Manta did put me off a bit.
Both are fab though! |

Mako 100%.
Love manta too, but being stuck in that position for 40 minutes when the ride broke down was not fun! |

Mako for me. Manta was too uncomfortable. Think it was an age thing though, my daughters love it!

Row 3 of mako, try to leave the lapbar as loose as they will let you, airtime heaven
Slightly OT. if you like mako you'll love shambhala - portaventura (spain) google/search?q=sham...hrome&ie=UTF-8 |

We’ve just got back and are having this very debate in our house!
Hubby and son - Mako Me - Manta I personally don’t feel safe with that tray table they call a lap bar on Mako! However the inside backwards loop thingy on Manta is just fantastic. Think it helped that both rides have been walk on’s during our holiday. I also think the ride queue of Manta with the aquarium is also done well. Shambahala coaster at Portaventura and Air at Alton Towers are also our favourites. Edited - just watched the video, how did you keep your glasses on?! We were sat next a man who lost his phone on Mako. He wasn’t a happy chappy when the staff refused to go find it! Edited at 07:00 PM. Reason: Watched video |

The biggest difference for me is that whilst there is always a queue for Manta, Mako was pretty much a walk on.. even in August. So for me, Mako wins.
I prefer Manta, though. That loop is simply the best moment for me in any coaster any where.

Have to agree that the loop on manta is amazing!
I was also, by the way, impressed by Tigris in Busch gardens |

So was I. I liked that really slow barrel roll across the top. Really unusual.
