Just watched the news they have asked the Government for a bail out. The Government has put a plan and money into place to bring people home. TC has said well give us the money to stay afloat.

Please try not to worry and enjoy your holiday. (easy for me to say I know)

Thank you luckily we have secured different flights if it's worse case scenario, hopefully it doesn't come to that x

Looks like government loan is only chance now if these reports are correct. I'm not sure the government can lend private entities cash to help them survive though due to the precedent, and competition law but that's just what I've read.

I was wondering about that. It said on the news they got a government bail out in 1948. The thing is if someone was going to give them the money they would have done so by now. Unfortunately and very sadly I think TC are burying their heads in the sand and praying for a miracle at the 11th hour.

If this story is believed it is outrageous that TC has had its Tweet staff today telling customers it's all fine and it will be around for years to come. At the same time it appears there have been attempts to put it into compulsory liquidation, and throw the travel agent (which was doing the tweeting) to the wolves.
How many people have continued to part with money on the back of those tweet assurances?
Absolutely disgraceful.

I 100% agree. The whole thing minds me of a book I love... Adrain Mole the prostrate years. I think come Monday there is going to be a massive outcry about this. DH said today it should be illegal for companies to take money/print a positive spin when they are hanging onto a cliff edge.

I think the only way the Government will give them the money is to save jobs and to save them money bringing everyone home.

The way TC have acted like nothing is wrong and all is going to be fine when they don't 100% know that has put me off them for life. And all there associated businesses also.

Some reports on FB that some hotel guests have been contacted as TC have not paid the hotel bill and customers are being asked to pay the hotel bill directly :/
