Nothing much close to the ports although a wander around Charlotte Amelie is interesting. Lots of duty free shops and some nice little lanes to wander down for a coffee or cold beer accompanied by live music.
A trip across to St Johns from St Thomas has been out favourite. We have been to Magens Bay which is lovely but I believe is extremely busy at times.
Tortola was lovely but we went pre hurricane which caused lots of damage. If we were going back we would go over to Virgin Gorda to experience the baths.

St Thomas has two docks - Havensight (West India dock) and Crown Bay. Across the road from Havensight is a cable car to a viewpoint. There are shared open taxis (jitneys) to most places on the island as well as island tours for around $25. Magen’s Bay has been mentioned but quite a bit of the natural shade (trees) vanished in the hurricane. In fact much of St Thomas is still rebuilding. If you dock at Crown Bay our favourite beach is Honeymoon Beach over on Water Island. A little ferry goes over from Crown Bay and the guy who owns the beach bar gives you a lift if you rent one of his sun beds - it’s only a 2 minute ride. It’s a lovely quiet spot - idyllic. The ferry times are on the internet and you could get a taxi over to Crown Bay if docking at Havensight. You can check where you dock on the USVI ports website. We’ve been to St John’s a couple of times which is very nice.

Yes St Thomas is safe - same precautions needed as any tourist place. Looks like Disney ships dock at Havensight. We did a private tour in Jamaica (Ocho Rios), glad we did.

Thank you 😊

How long would it take to get over to the ferry?

We LOVED Magens bay! Got there earlyish and it wasn't busy at all. It did get busy later but you can always find a spare spot. You can hire loungers and umbrellas from the shop if you want.

One of my best memories from that cruise is watching the pelicans diving in and out of the sea. DH rudely wouldn't let me take a pelican home we were told it wasn't a good snorkelling spot, but we saw a fair few fish and a turtle who was out there for ages

This is my current FB cover photo- as you can see its pretty nice there!
