New Orleans, Nashville & Memphis questions?

I stayed at La Quinta Inn and Suites in Memphis, just outside of Downtown, really new and swanky looking, and a decent price. Would recommend this place as free parking and breakfast and easy to get to town by cab or driving.

Also stayed at Clarion Inn Nashville, as per above, good price just across the river, a shuttle to town and back every 30 minutes until 9pm, just book on one from the hotel at least 30 mins before, jump on any return and free breakfast, good choice too. Nashville is my favourite of the two cities we visited. Lovely place, would go back in a heartbeat.

We're stopping at The Hampton Inn Beale Street in Memphis, and we've booked an airbnb in Nashville.

I stayed here two business trips ago. Never again. Last trip I moved two or three blocks away. This hotel is fine, but literally overlooks Beale St. Sounds fun and touristy... but the front desk hands out ear plugs upon check in. Your room (regardless of floor or which way your window faces) will be inundated with the live music until ~1am.

If you are a night owl and planning on hitting the Beale St area until the wee hours, you are all set. If not - I would suggest switching. There's a DoubleTree two blocks away that is much quieter.
