New iPhone and downloading apps

Okay so no techy here !

Ordering new iPhone , currently all the apps I have on my iPad will be the ones I download to my phone.

All apps passwords that are set up are via touch authorisation ( can’t remember passwords) if I download these apps to my phone will I have to change every password by emailing myself as I won’t know them when I download on my phone( does that make sense ?)

And would I then have to change them all on my iPad?

Sorry not sure how it all works
Thanks
Jules

Make sure it is all sync'd to iCloud. Then set up finger print authorisation on the new phone. Apps should sync and install in the background when you do the iCloud recovery / sync.

Not an iPhone user but this was essentially what we did with DD last two replacement phones (3 in 5 months due to them failing within warranty )

Before you switch on your new iPhone, make sure you back-up and sync your account on iCloud on your iPad. Also make sure you've set up iCloud Keychain.

Then when you switch on your iPhone, sign in using your Apple account (you will need to know your password for this) and then restore your new iPhone from your latest iCloud backup. This will automatically download all the apps that are on your iPad onto your iPhone. It should also transfer your website passwords as well.

See the following for more info:

Can you not sync to iCloud on your iPad? Not your old phone but the iPad you mentioned.

Assuming you can access and use your iPad, you would then have to request to reset your Apple account password. Bit of a pain, but it's only one password you'd have to change and remember.

I thought you wanted all the apps and passwords you have on your iPad transferred to your new iPhone?

So if you backup your iPad to iCloud and then log into new iPhone using the same Apple account and restore from iCloud, then it’ll download all the apps and passwords from your iPad.
