I am currently lying in bed with my fourth bout of labrynthitis (spread over many years thankfully, it is awful) - the vertigo and dizziness is horrible so your husband has my sympathies. I saw the doctor yesterday and they prescribed me prochlorperazine (5mg) - I have had these before and they definitely take the edge off, just leave me a lightheaded and a bit weird, but definitely less dizziness. I would definitely take him back to a doctor as they can definitely give him things to help. Good luck!

I’ve had this too, quite a few times in my life, it feels like the room is spinning & I have to hold on it does last a few days, when I have it really bad I’m sick too, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, I’ve tried the manoeuvre too,Hubbie has to help me, it made me feel worse & dizzier.
Dr prescribed Prochlorperazine tablets they do help, I’m going back next week as only have 2 left, fingers crossed I never have it on holiday 🤞 Edited at 05:32 PM. |

Just thought I would tell you all how things are, he is still feeling dizzy a lot, we have being doing the manoeuvre and although it makes him feel real bad when doing it I’m convinced it’s doing some good. He is starting to feel a little better every day, hoping by the end of this week he will start to feel like himself. It’s affecting his job a lot as he is a builder, but luckily he has guys working for him. Thanks for all your help and good wishes.

Hi, sorry to hear about your husband, I had it a few years ago, it really is horrible, it lasted about a week then gradually eased off but for a long time I had to be careful that I didn't tip my head back too much or lie flat . Hope he feels better soon.
