Lounges @ Gatwick
We have never used the lounges at Gatwick previously, however with a 1pm flight I'm wondering if they might be a nicer more relaxed option. We are staying at Premier Inn overnight, so will enjoy a cooked breakfast, so the free food is not a major draw. I just think a couple of hours in a lounge, free wifi and papers/magazines to read might be nice before the flight. Have you used them, do you love them, or maybe you don't see the point. I'm looking at "My Lounge" as its more relaxed but open to other options if opinion is strong enough to change my mind

Always use a lounge, my lounge is great, also used no1 lounge, hate being in the departure lounge with nothing to look at, view from my lounge isn’t great, no 1 looks out over the runway

I like that My Lounge (in the South terminal) has some outdoor space .

Another vote for No1 Lounge here. To be honest, a lot of them are very similar in price and what you get. Either way, we’d rather use a lounge.

Thank you for your responses. We had originally booked with Norwegian (don't go there! ) which gave us lounge access within the ticket price. With a departure time of 10am I saw the lounge as unnecessary. I think I'll look at No1 as an option, however eldest daughter is a very poor flyer and likes to dress in trackie bottoms and a t shirt for comfort reasons. She's a bit concerned about "the dress code" but I've told her as long as she's reasonably smart/clean she'll be fine. Kids eh, who'd have 'em?

We like the No.1 lounges. We visited the Gatwick South one in March like to sit and watch the planes taking off. Always a good selection of magazines, snacks and drinks.

We did Clubrooms as 3 adults a couple of weeks ago. It was wonderful, constant champagne top ups and lunch is waiter service. They are all smallish rooms for around 12 people so very quiet. Just ended up the three of us in ours as people left for flights.
This is now my favourite lounge, just a shame they aren’t at all airports yet |
