Disney gift card refunded onto credit card...

Wondered if anyone has ever had the Disney gift card refunded onto their card at the end of the trip and how long it took to clear?

We were having far too much fun on our trip to remember to use our gift card but thought we could just use it at the end to pay off our final bill. However, Disney has already charged the bill to our card and there was nothing left to pay! We didn’t really want to spend the extra $270 ($200 gift card and $70 mousekeeping) on anything so they said they could just use it to refund onto our cc and the money would clear “soon”.

It’s been seven working days now and so far nothing has come back on. Has anyone else had this? How long did it take to clear?

It might work, but usually refunds like this are processed against he original payment method. In your case a bulk processing facility in a travel logistics centre.

You might see the money again, or you might find you've made Disney Holidays 200 dollars better off

hmmm interesting. What they told us when we checked out was that it was being added to our account and then the credit on our account being refunded to our credit card.

I might give them a ring to double check.

When we checked out we had a similar thing paid the bill with a gift card then they gave us a refund of one night , told us it would be processed to credit card however it never was when we got hit home I emailed them they said once we had checked out they was unable to credit the card but they did send us the money on a Disney gift card , not exactly the same but I’d keep an eye on it and if not give them a call

I did this last year. They refunded $200 onto my credit card and then added the $200 from the gift card. The refund only took a few days to reach my credit card.

Yes I think this is what should be happening with us! I thought it might be a 5 working days situation but as it’s not on there yet I think I’ll definitely give them a call.
