Seems like a great price for a fantastic camera

Might be useful to someone.

£40 cheaper on amazon (third party seller though)

amazon/dp/B01AAU7T...nguag e=en_GB

great camera, but it's sad that these things have more than doubled in price in recent years. at ~£250 (or even less for the previous model once the new one was out - some models were on clearance for ~£100) these cameras were amazing value

at the best part of £500, i'm not sure sure I would bother. i think i'd rather go for a mirrorless compact system.

I’ve got one of these, very good. I sold a mirrorless to buy it. Smaller. 4K video. As good quality really.
This quality of camera has not been £250, that is a much lesser model. It didn’t have a predecessor really this one. It’s a very high end camera, designed to compete with the Cannon G7 and Sony RX ranges.
This was shot on this Panny -

It’s known as the LX in some markets.

Then again I’ve just bought a GoPro Hero 7 Black and I love that, it’s brilliant. May sell my Panasonic now, not sure I’ll use it as much now as I’d bought it for the video mainly.

When I posted it was £299.

I agree, at £500 there are better buys. But the price has jumped £200 since I posted. At £299 it was a fantastic buy.

I use an LX100 for my "compact"
