Questions for anyone who’s has used the throwaway FW booking

We’ve booked the FW campsite 1 night booking for our second week.
so can I just check in online now? . I do intend to email the campsite to inform them we won’t be staying nearer the time.
If we want the magic bands ( not sure as yet due to the new designs ) do you just go to reception to get them if not do I just decline them ? I presume so I don’t need to actually go ? Any help appreciated from anyone who has actually done the process.

I checked in on line a couple of weeks before our arrival date.

We had booked for an EMH day in April, so we arrived about half an hour before this. We parked up in the car park, which is free, checked in and got our magic bands. The receptionist told us our campsite number, but I explained we wouldn’t be camping, just having a look around the site - she was fine with this.

We next walked over to the bus stop and caught the bus to the dock, then got the boat over to MK.

Later in the afternoon we caught the ferry back to WL and looked around the dock area before catching the bus back to the car park at reception.

We had a quick drive around and looked at where our pitch was before finally heading home.

Hope that helps? Any other questions, please ask.

Hi 🙂 you can check in online and decline the magicbands if you wanted to. I’m unsure whether this means you don’t actually have to go there. This is based on staying at another resort though, so maybe email Disney to check 🙂 I hope someone can confirm.

We ordered the mb to be delivered to a personal shopper who dropped them to us on our arrival night. We checked in online. Then didnt need to ever go to the campsite.

What happens on the morning you check out?
do you have to go back to do this if you haven't actually used the room, tent or cabin?
Only asking as we are thinking of booking 1 night but on MDE it says check in is at 3pm!
Does this mean I can't access the parks until I've checked in?
I know you can do online check in but then I'll miss out on the magic bands.
Any suggestions or advice

No, you can check in as early as you like - we were about 7.30am as it was an EMH morning. We told her we weren’t going to use the pitch but there’s no requirement to check out.

And what about check out?
Will one of us have to go back to do this? (sorry if this sounds like a blonde moment)
We want to be at HWS for 7.30 as it's EMH but if we have to drive to FW first its going to be an early start.
