Dictatorship no...

Trying to understand what is best for the country and representing the people to the best of its ability... maybe

We voted for this mess and in fact should accept responsibility for this whole shambles despite the lack of leadership
My ballot paper said stay or leave. i voted the latter

What was on yours?

Democracy

I thought you were looking for a healthy debate?

Seems these are quite standard responses.

Brexit means Brexit.

Have fun

I am always up for healthy debate

Fact is there was 2 options on the ballot paper.

There was no middle ground that i could see.

Sunday (results) will send a stark reminder to the two main parties of how the UK people think.

You asked a question and received an answer. I had two options too, I chose one and yes I really really meant it.

Leave with no deal was the one option that wasn't proposed by the leave campaign. Not mentioned at all during the referendum, which was all about what kind of deal we would get.
Leave means not being a member. Norway and Switzerland aren't members, so if we ended up like them we would have left. May not be what you want but it fulfills the referendum mandate.

Sunday's results will be a wake up call to the two main parties, but they will just show how polarised the two sides are, as the outright Remain/referendum parties will poll almost as well as the Brexit supporting ones. The Labour and Conservative votes are more debatable and so the election will settle nothing about the national mood.

My problem with May is not the Brexit stuff I don’t think anyone would have fared any better and a lot would have fared worse

My issues are with her as Home Secretary ie the windrush affair, the introduction of the snoopers charter, The hostile environment of immigration that split up over 33,000 families (also windrush families), the selling of arms to Yemen, Saudi Arabia etc, the desire she had to withdraw from the ECHR and her absence when Grenfell happened and the dismissive way that has been dealt with - Brexit is the least of her issues in my opinion

You forgot the reduction in the number of police officers leading to a society where shoplifting is seen as an inconvenience and non violent crime goes uninvestigated. Of course it has had no impact in street violence, I know this because she said so!

What seemed to be the problem was she was stubborn as home sec and Pm on issues that have made this country worse but rolled over straight away with Europe
