The only thing that worked for us when one was going on our front grass was to cover the grass with a netting, they don't like the touch of it. After a few months we took it away and they didn't go back on it. It's a pain to mow etc though.

We tried all sorts . The only thing that worked was one of those high pitched sirens ( only animals can hear) on remote sensor. Apparently young kids can hear it too so that’s a consideration but it did the trick for us .

Spray them with water - they won’t come back after getting wet in my experience

Won't work on my two as they love water. Cats hate citrus so anything smelling of lemon or orange seems to work. I give my immediate neighbours wooden balls infused with orange oil to scatter on their gardens and they say it works for both cats and foxes.

When I worked in a garden centre always recommended a 12 bore shotgun but there is a product called Lion Roar which is a bi more user friendly. Apparently made from lion 🦁 dung 💩. Wouldn't fancy the job of collecting it though.
