I always used to take it all down on the 1st of Jan, as it's my dd's birthday on the 2nd, so wanted it to be all about her. Now she is grown up and left home, I wait till 12th night for it all to be gone, but might take a few down new years day to get ahead. the tree always comes down last. I hate how bare and bleak it all looks after the decs are down

We normally leave ours up until the 5th but our tree is not a good one this year and I think it will be completely nude by New Years Day so I think we will be taking them down early this year

January 5th. Like it up as long as possible. I only had xmas day and Boxing Day off work and it wasn’t coming down Boxing Day! How miserable would they be! Love having the twinkling lights in the lounge and new year is still part of Christmas!

I like ours down and away for New Year’s Eve. We put them up the first weekend in December so by they I’ve had enough of them. I like to start the new year with a clean tidy house.

I've sneaked a few bits down today but all will be down on sunday. I love the build up to Christmas but now DS grown up no point in keeping them up. Like a nice tidy house for the new year

My Christmas Tree came down yesterday. We always have a real one and it always begin to drop and smell, so it needs to go.
The time between Christmas and just after New Year is a bad time for me as my angel daughter went into Great Ormand Street on 27 December to die. It was 16 years ago now but my decorations have always come down on 27th since.
