A House Through Time

Anyone watch this series based around the house in Newcastle

Fantastic insight into the history of the house & the @200 people who had lived there in @200 years and the history of Tyneside it was involved in. I bet 90% of folk dont even know that street is there the way it is tucked away behind Westgate Rd. My mate used to live further down the square

Im biased but what a cracking series & what an engaging host

going to find the first one in liverpool to watch as well

I thought it was fascinating and must have taken hours and hours of research. I didn't watch it but think the first series was a house in Liverpool.

Like you say the presenter is excellent and I've seen a few programmes by him in the past.

was in the local paper they leafleted loads of houses in the area and on the ones they got replys on they started researching... some houses had too much stability so would be pretty dull...one house they said had such a dark past they coulsnt use it ! to have an eminent marine biologist, prominent lawyer, the tyneside IRA and the Salvation Army to name a few in one house is fascinating

David Olusoga had a pretty rough time growing up on Tyneside but his fondness for the city/area shone through

loved it cant wait for the next one

I need to catch up on this new series but loved the Liverpool one. The house is only a few minutes walk from where I work so it was really fascinating to learn about the history of the area.
Agree with the above comments about David Olusoga. He's a really engaging presenter and seemed to develop a real affection for the residents who lived in the house over the years

I’m really enjoying this series. Recorded them and have watched two episodes so far. I caught the last series by accident and found it fascinating so had this one on series link.

I really enjoyed the Liverpool series but even though this one is local to me it hasn’t grabbed me In the same way. I keep nodding off halfway through the episodes.
