Cornwall restaurants

Hi dibbers! We are going down to Cornwall in a couple of weeks for a little holiday and would like to go to a few nice meals , can anyone recommend any good restaurants? I’ve booked Jamie’s 15 at watergate bay and have been looking at number 6 Padstow which is Paul Ainsworths restaurant. Thanks I advance x

We really liked the restaurant at Lusty Glaze in Newquay. Lusty Glaze is a privately owned beach where you can do various water sports and abseiling. They have beach huts you can rent as well. If you get the weather spending a day there would be lovely. The restaurant is nice and they often have musicians entertaining the guests. You can check out their website for details.

We also liked Hubbox in St Ives - great burgers.

I was going to suggest The Mariners, Rock but it looks like it'll be closed for refurbishment when you go. We went a few years ago for Sunday lunch when it was one of Nathan Outlaw's pubs and it was lovely. I enjoyed going over from Padstow on a little boat. themarinersrock/

Are you staying in Padstow? The London Inn was our local when we rented a cottage there and they did good pub food and a nice pint!

We live in Cornwall and I can suggest Healeys Cyder Farm, Trevaskis Farm in Connor Downs and The Star & Garter in Falmouth. All serve excellent food.

Agree with all of the above recommendations and if your going near Helston go to Boo Koos for great burgers and Milkshakes.

There are some good food places in porthleven, Kota Kai and The Square are great, wouldn’t bother with rick steins though, not very good!

Not a restaurant but if you're near Perranporth and want a takeaway, I can highly recommend 'The Shack.' It is literally a hut at one end of the high street and has only been open a short while but has amazing reviews, which tempted us to try it. It didn't disappoint!

Never go to Cornwall without a trip to The Bowgie Inn at West Pentire overlooking Crantock Beach. Foods homemade and good too
In fact was there last week and enjoyed watching the sunset
