Which supermarket is best for fresh veg ?
Diet restrictions mean we will need to buy lots fresh veg/salad leaves etc for the villa so we can eat well and make a lunch for the parks etc.
With so much choice of supermarkets, is there any preference in which one is best/cheapest ? We're staying at Highlands reserve |

Publix will be the closest supermarket but it’s expensive
Walmart at Cagsns Crossing further up the 27 will be cheaper Unfortunately I don’t think the new Aldi at Summer Bay on the 192 will be open but it just might or open during your stay |

You will find Walmart cheaper than Publix for fruit and veg, but I buy cut fruit from Publix as it is better.

I think Gryff and others recommend Winn Dixie.

The nerest Winn Dixie to Highland Reserve is right behind Dollar tree by. Walmart at Southern Dunes but an Aldi and Dollar General food market are just across the street both cheaper than Winn Dixie unless you have a loyalty card and shop the fruit /veg offers which I do
But I most of my salad stuff local fruit from the roadside farmers market down our end or the huge one on a back road not. Far from the villa We are lucky having so many choices by us |

You definitely don't want to be wasting valuable holiday time by driving down to Southern Dunes as you won't be passing that way, unless you are going to Legoland. Publix is so close to Highlands Reserve but the above posters are correct, it is a little dearer than Walmart, but I also find it better quality. If you happen to be going to Walmart (closest one is a Cagan Crossings) then I would shop there, but if not, you are on holiday so I wouldn't spend time driving anywhere other than Publix just to save a few $'s.

I don't know how near Earth Fare is to you and I haven't been to the one on Orlando but the quality in the one in Bradenton is superb not just for fruit and veg things like ready meals etc facebook/EarthFareDowntownOrlando/

Whole Foods have the best fruit and Veg, it’s my favourite shop but admittedly it is more expensive.

I agree with the above. If you are passing a Walmart I would go there but the nearby Publix is excellent and not worth driving out of your way to save a few dollars.
Have a fantastic trip! It's getting so close now!
