Car options, looking for advice

Last time we went to Florida we had a Chevrolet Suburban (which we all really loved) and a Dodge Caravan (it was ok, but the driver would prefer different next time) it worked out great with all the cases etc for 8 adults and 4 children.

Next time we will need transport for 8 adults and 6 children so thinking choices would be...

a 15 seater mini van... (I'm trying to stay away from this option as this would restrict us all and we would still need more space for cases)

2x Chevrolet Suburban (or something very similar but haven't a clue what, any ideas would be great. Again space may be tight!)

2x Chevrolet Suburban and a Ford Explorer or similar?

As you can see a Chevrolet Suburban is wanted but is there a cheaper alternative that has the same feel?

Also depends on costings but any advice would be great, we are also looking to have sat nav's also

Thanks

The best advice would be to hire the most suitable car you can afford for your requirements for 16 you would need either the 15 seater or 3 vehicles. You might be able to get away with 1 x suburban and 2x Tahoe for the same feel amongst the group, would just mean you have one vehicle to carry most of the loads and would be driving round in what looked like a protected convoy!
