Using other Disney Resorts

Apologies if this is in the wrong place but couldn’t think where else to post!

I’ve got two friends both hoping to go next year and they’ve asked me the following questions but I don’t really know the answer so hope fellow Dibbers might know!

1- pool hopping, they want to know if they can use other resort pools - I don’t think that is allowed but not really sure

2 - visiting other resorts and using QS restaurant, bar, lobby area, shops etc - I think this is okay as I’ve visited other QS locations at other resorts and eaten but maybe you can’t?

Thanks

1. Pool hopping is a total no no unless it's a joined resort like POR sharing with POFQ.
2. Everything else is OK

We've never spent a single night in a WDW hotel but every holiday we park up at Disney Springs and catch the free WDW transport and do a tour of resorts. We use bus, boat and monorail but yet to try skyliner.

You don't need to be resident at any WDW hotel, have park tickets nor a dining reservation to use the free transport.

You can spend $4 on a coke, $500 on dinner at the V&A or not a cent on your tours.

Pool hopping not allowed.

Resort touring encouraged.

Resort touring very much allowed - it's how they hope to hook you in I suppose. It certainly worked for us, we booked onsite for the first time after staying offsite and touring the Disney resorts.

It's one of our favourite things to do these days, take a wander around the resorts. Relaxing and pleasant way to spend some downtime.

As others have said, pool hopping is a big no unless specifically allowed.

Last year we stayed at All Stars Music, but did visit the Grand Floridian twice to watch the MK fireworks. We sat outside the Gasperilla Grill, where the music is also piped in, so a very relaxing hour or so.
