Recommended cafes / restaurants in Newquay and St Ives?

Hi, we are headed to Newquay in two weeks time with a planned day trip to St Ives, and was wondering if anyone could recommend any cafes or restaurants for breakfast and lunch?

We like Wax in Newquay Town center. Also love getting a takeaway box from Gusto and heading to the beach to eat it. Yum!

There is a restaurant called Bush Pepper that's supposed to be really nice but we have never managed to get a booking.

The Pednolva in St Ives is by the train station has amazing views and the food is really good too, It�s a St Austell pub so it�s not massively expensive to eat there.
