Just a little update for you, I sent an email to sequoia asking if it was possible for a room with a view or anything to make their trip extra special and have a lovely response back telling me they can’t guarentee any specific requests but will do all they can to make their trip special and asking fir their booking ref. I will update when they arrive if anything comes of it. 🤞

That’s what they said to us too, when I asked for a room with a nice view. We weren’t celebrating anything, but I’d just heard that some DLH rooms look out over the car park and I didn’t fancy that, so I thought ‘nice view’ might encompass everything else!

We were put in one of the turrets, facing the park, so we had a view of Main Street Station, City Hall, and the very top of the Christmas tree. Going by the floor plan, we also had slightly more space than most of the rooms on our corridor. It was really lovely - we may have got that room anyway, by pure chance, but I’m glad I asked and we weren’t looking out at the car park!

My husband emailed SL as we are going in Feb for my 40th! We'r staying golden forest lakeside. He didnt tell me until after he had done it lol
He said it was my birthday and if possible could we have a room with a really nice view or a balcony.
He did get a nice response saying they hope our stay is magical and they cant guarantee anything but it did say that there are no balcony GF lakeside rooms bit disappointed as thats what i would have loved but i'm still soooo looking forward to our holiday and having a birthday with Mickey (yes i know i'm almost 40 😂 )

I've twice been upgraded to club level at BC. Both times were an amazing surprise as we hadn't asked for anything special. Trouble was, having been upgraded on two consecutive times, we got the bug for club level and now book that level

I’ve had a downgrade this trip! Booked golden forest lakeside but there was some error along the way and my booking showed as non lakeside. They had no lakeside rooms available but I actually have a lovely view with a balcony, and I’ve also been very well compensated (in cash) so I have no complaints

Ooh, did you get 'Ben and Libby's room'?! That balcony looks fab (although I don't think I would spend much time on it in January...)
