Who remembers these beauties?
... more importantly ... amongst the more senior Dibbers ... who actually owned one? |

My grandad owned an early one with the indicators that flicked out the panel behind the driver's door. I also remember repairing those when I first started work in 1980. Still a few about even then with the Morris Oxford, Austin Cambridge, mgb etc. Happy days.

I’ve owned three over the years and my first car (1989) was a 1968 4 door saloon in rose taupe which was fabulous. It had it’s faults but I could usually fix it myself when I broke down. The heating only worked in summer, I got a shoe full of water when using the clutch after it had rained and I could turn the gearstick 360 degrees when in gear... fun times!

My 1st car! She was older than I was at the time and called Arabella, named by the neighbour I bought her from.
Fond memories of chugging up the local hills and the rusty holes in the foot wells too. |

Never owned one but have been a passenger in a few.
Gosh they were so basic but then so were their counterparts from other manufacturers.
