Extension on banked points

Iam our distressed points will be extended to 31 May 2022 but would be expired as of 1 June 2022. We have an August UY, but I don’t think that was the relevant point, rather that we’re international members for whom borders are currently closed. I personally haven’t heard of any longer extension, but that works for us, as we could upgrade bookings we have already made, or will look to use them to book Easter 2022. We had already used/banked all that we could, leaving only the distressed aged points in limbo. Hth.

I'd lose 135 points in 2019 Use Year -September
I'm banking my 2020 points and hope to get over later in December for xmas or Easter 2022.

fingers crossed as i'm booked for july2022 and was hoping they'd give me the extra couple of months.

Dvc have said Our April 2019 points which we banked into 2020 can only be extended till 31st May 2022. I asked how would the system know I wanted to book a vacation using those points because normally the system wouldn't allow the use of expired points. I was told that the extended points would be valid from 1st April 2022 till 31st May 2022. I tried to explain that that would be almost useless for international visitors because not many of us can arrange a holiday in less than 7-8 weeks. I was basically told tough.

If I cannot go Xmas 21 or Easter next year,I'm thinking i may have to sell the points but really dont want to get involved with the hassle, so may try Davids DVC points for peace of mind!

I don't they explained that very well or the person at DVC understood it themselves. That's not how it's going to work.

Your banked points should have expired on 31st March 2021 - DVC told me it would take a week to ten days after this then a new set of points will appear in your account in a specially created June '21 use year. You can then book using these for stays beween 1/6/21 and 31/5/22.

I'm such a wally. I've just realised our banked points are originally from April 2020 not 2019. So because they expire on 31st March 2022 anyway we only get an extra 2 months use out of them. Which unfortunately is no help to us. We can only visit August 2022 next year. Thank you for explaining it better.

That makes sense but as my Use Year is September, I wonder if I will still get this 'extension'? even if only valid from 1/9 to 31/5?

Just found out how it works.

Shortly after your Use Year(our is September),t
hey automatically put your '2019 banked' points into a transferred status with a use year of June 21.
Meaning they expire end of May 22.

We are in this position as well - after originally being told on the phone they would be put into our 2022 points and be available from Mar 22 to feb 23 and then confirming with him that I would be able to use them in an Aug 22 holiday which he said yes, I have just had an email saying they are only available up to May 22. I am currently challenging this and asking they honour what I was originally told and reminding them that the borders are still closed. We also can only go Aug 22 now
