Scouser I think someone posted on here that the demolition has been pushed back - again! I'm not sure how many Hotels it will affect, I don't think it goes as far back as the Clarion (Old Comfort Inn) & it was mainly the Crossroads triangle.
Depending on budget you can get a lot of Hotel & Uber/Lyft everyday & still be cheaper than a Disney Hotel! Depending on numbers, Vistana is worth a look. I though some of the Hotel Boulevard prices had shot up a bit.

I think it would depend on their shuttles? LBV Hotels aren't generally great for Universal shuttles but it is ages since we've stayed here. You're the wrong side of I4 for the Lynx route, personally if I was going to stay that side I'd probably look at Springhill/Courtyard Grouping just before Outlets turnoff. I think this used to be the Sunspree & when we stayed it was badly in need of a refurb but that's 16-17 years ago! I'd also consider the Clarion for the right price at the end of the day it's somewhere to put your head down & how fancy does it need to be?

I have booked 2 family rooms here for our first week in August. I'm praying that it still goes ahead.
The reviews on Tripadvisor are great. Someone has recently uploaded a picture of the pick up times on there too. Also Uber is cheap if you want to come back at a different time.
It has an Applebees attached to it and also a few restaurants within walking distance. There is also a walgreens across the road.

If you’re just doing Disney have a look at the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd. I’d hope one or more would be comparable in price and you’d not have the hassle and cost of getting ‘onsite’

If not doing any other parks definitely LBV , somewhere with shuttles but budget for a few Ubers for when the bus schedule doesn’t suit you coming back from the parks.

We did Disney only in 2018 and stayed at the Clarion Inn which is now a Rosen Inn in LBV.
Free shuttle to Disney which left at 8am and there was a later one.
We usually got an Uber back as it was easier.
