Anyone stayed at OKW?

Can you please give me your opinion & if you think its worth the upgrade from the moderate resorts? ... We would be without a car and i know OKW is large,would this be a downer?..thank you for any feedback..

We stayed at old key west in 2017 and loved it. We enjoyed catching the boat to Disney springs .. We didn’t hire a car. There are bus stops close by the accommodation that you use to get to the parks or the centre . We stayed in a 2 bed villa .

We loved OKW. Really calm and relaxed. We had a studio. We loved having a balcony and they are the largest rooms on site. We stayed near Turtle Pond pool which was just lovely.
It is large, if you don't have a car, don't like to walk or don't like waiting for a bus, you won't like it. I found the buses good, you can see the schedule on the MDE app, they are fairly regular and as a regular public transport user in the UK I thought they were great.

We stayed in a 2 bed at OKW in 2018 loved it and would go back in a heartbeat. As above post short walk to bus stops, boat to Disney Springs and the villas are very spacious. I would say the only downside is there is little choice of on site dining although this was not a problem for us

Yes much better than most moderate resorts, rooms are fairly newly renovated.

We have stayed in a 1 bed and are booked for September 🤞, have stayed in akl and wl and are happy to stay here. Nice and relaxing I don’t know what the studio are like but the 1 bed are worth the money

Was lucky enough to have a free upgrade from POFQ to OKW one bedroom villa a few years back and loved it. Plenty of space for just DW and I.
Have since stayed in a studio in 2019 and was happy with that. We were on third floor and one thing is there are no lifts but didn't bother us.

It’s a long time since we stayed, it was 2012 but it was a lovely resort. It is a big resort no getting away from that but I think rooms are some of the biggest on property. Definitely agree with the earlier comment on food options. Olivias is an underrated table service location but Goods To Go is a bit basic in regards to quick service.

It's great, it's spread out, but you can get away from constant Disney there. Olivias is great.

Not for me I’m afraid. We’ve stayed at quite a few resorts, moderates and deluxes
, this was my least favourite. We were at Turtle Pond, just such a long way from the centre. Even the boat to Disney Springs, you still needed to get the bus back from the boat dock. The counter service place is really poor in my opinion too. Just not for me, although the main pool is lovely.
