I always thought you were legally obliged to return anything you cut off as it wasn’t your actual tree. I’d need to check though, as things may have changed

I think lobbing the off cuts over the fence would go down like a lead balloon lol
They are not into DIY but we like our property to be in order so my husband paints the fence every spring without fail then goes next door and paints their side. Otherwise it wont get done and eventually it would rot then result in extra costs for us. |
