Crochet/ knitting wool experts please

I usually visit a fab wool shop, but, it has been closed majority of last year. I want to crochet a very intricate baby shawl. It is a very old pattern requiring 3 ply.

I am looking online, there is 100% acrylic and 60/40 nylon acrylic mix. I want the softest baby wool I can get, but of course washable. I see sirdar snuggly, king cole ( comfort?), or James Brett... Any recommendations?

Thank you

Another vote for Sirdar or King Cole. I ordered wool from KempsWoolShop.co.uk (it’s in Sunderland) during lockdown and they were great - excellent prices and speedy postal delivery.

Oooh and me too please, I have just had a great nephew arrive & I'd given up hope of doing any more baby crocheting so gave away all my patterns, think I'd like to do a bit more now.

I would go with either of the first two also. I buy wool from Deramores, or Wool Warehouse - both online. 😀

If you are missing doing baby things there is a charity call Warm Baby Project. They are always needing things. I knitted some hats and blankets during the first lockdown.
