Phoned my travel agent (Thomas Cook) to check with them that they were keeping an eye on the situation now the appeal has been lost so they can assist if we need to amend our flights. They were completely unaware of any potential BA pilot strike...! Do they not read the news? I'm now even more worried.

It's awful. They said they normally get alerts from Corporate about these types of things so they can liaise with customers but hadn't received notice. :s

Which is why I won’t use travel agents.. totally inept

So you booked with TC and are flying with BA but they didn’t know there was a looming issue. Wow. That is bad. I will add it to my long list of reasons why I never use travel agents.

Yep! I'm travelling next May as well and have done this directly through WDW because I've found Thomas Cook awful this year.
