Clearwater Beach Hotel Recommendations

Hi

We're doing 1 night at Clearwater during our holiday and are looking for recommendations for where to stay for the night. We'd like to be as close to the beach as possible and will need to be able to park the car. Thanks in advance!

The Hilton is nice, right on the beach and with its own car park.

What’s your budget? We stayed at the Wyndham Grand. Not cheap but rather fabulous.

Budget is less than £300 for the night as I don’t mind a bit of a treat 😊

We’ve stayed at both the Wyndham and opal sands. Both were lovely but given the right price I would stay in opal sands. All rooms are gulf view and the hotel is lovely.

There are only 3 hotels that are actually on the beach
Opal sands
SandPearl
Hilton
For me it has to be Opal, every room has a totally private balcony which looks right over the gulf. You can actually watch the dolphins doing laps around the beach, plus the occasional manatee passing. Not forgetting the Stingrays!
Excellent beach bar which has a fabulous happy hour.
This is by far my favourite!

We stayed at the Sandpearl for a night last year. Loved it. Should be in your budget. Good location. Pics in my 2019 trip and food reports in my signature below.

I took swiper’s recommendation in October 2018 and had no regrets. There will be more pics of opal sands in my trip report in my signature.

We stayed at the Hilton. The location was fantastic, the beach was beautiful & the pool was good but our room showed signs of wear and and wasn't clean on arrival. Thick dust, hair on the pillows & towels, nowhere near normal standards so sadly I don't think we could recommend it.
