Best universal hotel for us?

Family of 4 - kids will be 14 & 17

Not done universal at all before. Looking at hotel with express pass.

Also looking at club level for a treat and maybe to save a bit of money as well.

Which would you advise for teens? And / or which is the nicest club level?

Would like to enjoy some time at the hotel so booking 5 nights.

Thanks in advance

I think with teens it has to be the Hard Rock. There's some pictures of the Club offerings in my food report

post 130 onwards. I don't think as a couple we got massive value from club but I think with four of you it will work out great. 10/15 minute walk to parks or the boat service is fab too.

All 3 are lovely and would be great. Depends if price comes into play.

HRH is great, we love the location and the vibe is great for teens. I love the pool area but pool is very shallow. They also have a beach volleyball court. The kitchen is great for Sunday Brunch.

Portofino, really nicely themed, biggest rooms, 3 different pools. Sals is the best pizza onsite there and is really reasonably priced. I like that they have a Starbucks. Slightly further walk but not enough to put us off.

RPR, great pool, good depth for swimming and my ds loves the fact they do pool volleyball here and it’s generally (although not always) the cheapest. Fab location as you can walk to sapphire falls and Aventura for food and drinks. This is the only one we have done club level at. We did 7 nights 2 years ago and had 7nights booked again this year which is cancelled. We paid less for club level here than it would have cost for a week in a standard room at HRH which made it a no brainier for us to choose this one for club level and it was great. There’s a fairly comprehensive review in my 2018 food report.
