It's A Long Way To Itinerary DAY 10 to Vegas
Day 10
Well this morning after completing all my ates I noticed a questionnaire regarding our experience at the Bumbleberry had been posted under the door. I settled on the balcony with a mug of coffee heh, heh, heh show time. It had been agreed that we wouldn’t say anything about helping housekeeping with the cleaning. She had been clearly struggling and we did offer so it wouldn’t had been right to then have a moan about it. Brenda however was another matter. Question. How was your check in experience at the Bumbleberry Inn? Answer. Lousy. Please explain. “We were attended to by a lobotomised inconsiderate dilettante named Brenda who had obviously undergone major surgery and had had all her manners surgically removed”. "We were made to feel as welcome as a bout of dysentery on a wedding night". Checking out yes, it was Brenda on reception. I handed her the room card and the complaints card. I did stand there for a few moments but she was that busy fannying about with the computer she never looked at me or the card. Breakfast was taken in Wild Cat Willies it was part of our fee. We were worried after our last Wildcat experience that the breakfast wouldn’t be up to much, but it was very good. I didn’t really know what the free breakfast entailed we ordered the basic breakfast plus add -ons we would normally order and the only thing we paid was the tip we may have paid the tax I can’t remember. On the way back to Vegas we saw a sign for Leeds, so we made a slight detour. I called into the Leeds Market for drinks the chap that served me told me we were the first from Leeds this year. He had five last year. Please feel free to own up if you were one of the 2016 five. A steady drive was taken to the Tahiti Village in Vegas. The check in was great very quick and no hard sell. All the information we needed was in a folder I was very impressed. The apartment was excellent, it was two apartments opened into one, so we had two kitchens and two seating areas. We could have easily had another four people stay with us because both units had pull out couches. The room had everything we needed and was spotless. My pictures are naff because I took them on the phone the kitchen is a picture of the small kitchen we had another bigger one. Another bonus was it had a washing machine and dryer right next door to the room our Lily chose. My immediate thought was I’ll have those machines on full throttle at seven in the morning. The beds were comfortable, and the pressure was unbeatable in the shower. A regular scheduled shuttle service not only provided regular service to local casinos on the strip but also provided a grocery run and a free trip to Red Rock Canyon. The entire area was gated, and the room card key allowed access. There was a Denny’s restaurant at the front of the hotel, so we went there to eat. I’m not a fan of Denny’s but this on-site Denny’s was good, it is so weird how franchises differ. It was clean the staff were efficient and friendly, and the food didn’t taste as if it had been cooked for the last supper, frozen and then suffered torture by microwave. We did a walkabout and I was very impressed with the Tahiti Village. The main bonus being there wasn’t a slot machine in sight. Our Lily enquired as to what the plan was for tomorrow. I know why she asks, it determines how much barefoot she drinks. Three is fine any more and she starts on her trivial personal vendettas, historical slights and family transgressions. |

Totally agree about chain locations. We have had great and terrible meals at Denny’s, depending on where we were. The apartments were huge - must have been great to have washing access too.
