My friend had a theory that it's something to do with her ex, he wants her to go mad so he can run off with the sister.

Not sure I agree but I do think there is a 3rd person.

The Taxi she ordered for him is really bugging me now, surely thats a big clue to the events of what happened yet has been overlooked by the police .Did it turn up ? Did he walk home? He has already told the police his account of what happened and after sleeping with her " he left " he didn't mention how he got home. she has mentioned ordering a taxi yet the police haven't picked up on weather it turned up or not .
Is this going to turn into him going psycho because of what she is doing to him, she is already doing her own detective work and now he has found the earring is he going to try and prove his innocence by nailing her ? It's very intriguing , two episodes in and still none the wiser .

I don't know why she didn't use her mobile phone to phone the taxi when his phone went dead outside her house instead of inviting him in and ringing from inside.

I think she's lying as she's an unlikeable character but I think that's too easy to guess. And I imagine there would be some kind of uproar from women🙄
