Fancy a river cruise - recommendations?

Hi

Quite fancy doing a river cruise possibly a Rhine cruise but open to suggestions.

Anyone have any experience and can recommend a cruise and or company please?

Following this, I have just sent for the brochure from I think Riviera. We quite fancy Bruges to the Dutch Bulb Fields.

No experience, but I love watching Jane McDonald’s series on channel 5. In series 1, she took a river cruise along the Danube which just looked stunning and I’d love to do it. The episode might be available on demand 5 for a look-see.

It’s partly having watched a couple of these that we now have a fancy to do one. We have been on a number of sea cruises but want to look at something different next time.

We went to Bruges with Rivera (via Eurostar not a cruise) a few years ago had a fab holiday, lovely accommodation and a great tour guide.

I work for Fred Olsen and we have a river cruiser called Brabant, worth a look, if not, our small cruise ships also occasionally do river itineraries, so you would see similar places, but have more going on the ship. Hope you find something and have a lovely time!

We're just back from a cruise along the Mississippi from Memphis to New Orleans. We sailed on the American Queen Steamboat. It was fantastic, absolutely wonderful. It was like Disney married Gone With The Wind! I think Jane McDonald featured it in her TV programme, not sure when . A fellow Brit on board mentioned it.

Adventures by Disney if you have a large bank balance. They use Amawaterways who, apparently, are the best in the business.

Enjoy!
