Considering changing resort
We're booked to stay at CSR this September, but have decided to postpone the trip to Sept 2021 in hope that some normality "may" have resumed.
With the extra time to pay, we're giving some thought to staying at a deluxe resort, but are struggling to choose between staying put or changing to Wilderness Lodge, Saratoga Springs and Old Key West. Any experiences and views would assist massively |

I stayed at WL in September and had OKW booked for April but obviously didn’t get there.
I think that one consideration is the layout of WL versus that of OKW or SSR. WL is one building, the other two are very spread out and you can be a long way from the main facilities and the buses could be an issue if you are nearest to one of the last stops. We chose OKW for April as at one time we were not going to have a dining plan so we decided to get a villa as it has a kitchen. I was a bit worried about the sprawled out layout though. I like to be able to get a lift and go downstairs in order to use the main facilities, not get on a bus or walk for fifteen minutes. So I think I would probably pick WL out of the three myself, unless I wanted the extra space again. I hesitate to say that though as whilst WL was a nice hotel, we found the transport very unreliable and had to ask to be moved because of it. So truthfully, I would pick another deluxe entirely |

We stayed in SSR.
Our building was right at the edge of the resort, we could cross the bridge to Disney Springs in less that 5 mins which was a massive plus for us. Originally I didn’t want to be “far” from the main building but it wasn’t bad assuming you have no mobility issues. Maybe a 5/10 mins walk. We went down there for a bus occasionally if we fancied a walk. Never had an issue with busses from our own stop either. Maybe once or twice I stood while the other two in my party got the last seats but after a stop or two I usually also got a seat. Again, no mobility issues so not a problem for us. Bus ride sometimes felt long depending on which park we were going to and how tired we were but we were usually excited so talking away to other guests and our own party. Never had an issue with buses home. We are booked in Beach Club for October, assuming we go, but have went back and forth over changing to SSR as I just don’t think another resort could beat it |
