Avios and the BA sale

Hi all

So far I have BA flights booked through iberia for august next year.

We need to book two cars, one is going to be a Mustang which if I add to the flight booking is coming in about £470 as opposed to £530 ish either avis direct or Alamo Brits.

The other car I'm planning on booking mainly through avios points, not the best use I'm sure but I have them and with exchange rates etc cash in my pocket is more important to me. That will be a standard SUV, Chevy traverse is the example, for just under 72k points plus £120.

Question is, do points cost of cars ever change in the BA sale? As soon as my amex statement goes through next week I'll have the points to book but didn't know if it is worth hanging on.

They don't change in the BA sale but occasionally you get avios offers

Thanks. I'm reasonably happy with the points cost being quoted, just didn't want to jump the gun if it was to come down a few days later!
