Linking reserveration to MDE

We are onsite this year and the booking is in OH name and the MDE account is in her name also. This year the booking is in my name and we cannot seem to link the reservation into the MDE. Can you confirm reservation and MDE account have to be in the same name to link the booking. Surname is the same. Thanks.

You need your holiday reference number and your surname to log in. But it does take about 2-3 days to log your account if you've only just booked it. If it doesn't work then the number at comes up when you've tried to log in, phone that and the staff from disney will help you to connect to MDE.

hey...I booked on the 1st July and still can't link...the MDE account is in my name but the booking is in my partners name...always booked this way and it's links fine with no problems..I've literally just come off the phone with Disney and they do have a back log of bookings to get through which is why it's taking longer than normal to link everything up

Ok so today I managed to link my hotel reservation to my Disney Account.

I clicked on Get Fast Pass but it's asking me to link my party to either tickets or package.

I've bought my tickets separately and they're yet to arrive.

I was under the impression I could still book fast pass with just a hotel reservation. Do I have to wait for the tickets to arrive as well? And if so, will it still recognise I'm staying at Disney to give me 60 days fast pass

You could stay at a Disney hotel and not visit a park - so yes you need tickets linked before you can make fast passes. When you link them through MDE so long as your hotel is already linked it will let you book them at 60 days out.
Just a heads up - Tickets won't be released to you from companies until they are paid in full and then they can take processing time after that. We did it this way last year and paid them up one month before our 60 days but the tickets took 3 1/2 weeks to arrive as they said that they are only dispatched in batches every so often - even when I phoned they said that their terms and conditions state this and they could not dispatch them any sooner. Luckily ours arrived with two days to spare before we could do our fast passes. Not sure if this is your situation but wanted to make you aware.

We are in the same situation and I emailed Disney for our "proper ref" as I could not get the booking ref to link. they emailed back and gave a different reference but two weeks later we still can't link - booked in -April for next June. Will keep trying! Good luck to you too.
