Ahhh ok, no you’ve not misunderstood. I assumed that OP already had the tickets so that’s what my cost advice was based on. For yourself only wanting to do one day then yea I imagine that is the cheapest way. We do at least 4 days at Universal so I’ve not really looked in to other ticket options beyond the 14 day one!

We used to do this with the kids every year. Now theyve grown amd moved on we still do it because we enjoy it and its tradition. Prob not worth it anymore for the saving but just that feeling when you leave the arch. A little dink left when most are going straight through makes it a little special.

We've Express passed both parks in one day and still had time to enjoy the experience.
I agree for so many of you it'll be cheaper to stay in the hotel
