Ticket options

Hi all. I have a trip and tickets booked for this October staying in an apartment. Planning on returning next year in September. What works out best value? upgrading this year's 14 day tickets to annual passes? Buying new tickets for next year? Or staying on property for whole trip (or maybe even a week) and buying tickets as a package to include dining plan?
Trying to work out the best way but not break the bank 😊

Technically the upgrade price to Annual Pass is the retail price of the pass less the retail price of the ticket you are upgrading. At the moment they seem to be either $849 or $949, so about £700 or £790. No idea how this would work with the 14 for price of 7 offer (if that's what you have). But it's definitely more expensive than buying 2 sets of tickets. But you do get 20% off some dining and in the shops, only you can tell if that's enough.

Staying on site, even with free dining, is not cheap. BUT it can work well the more you have in the room. So 2A and 2K (10+) can be great value, 3K even better if you would be happy in a room for a week/2. 2A not so much.

Another option would be to look at renting DVC points. Substantially cheaper than Disney rates but you won't get FD

Edit:
Meant to clarify technically. It can take a bit of work (apparently) to find the CM who both knows and understands how to do it

Other folks have stated that Disney take the wholesale price of the 14 day ticket and not the retail price...

Ouch

With the exchange rate as it is, you’d need more than 2 visits anyway.
