Mobile number format in US

Off the back of the ID kids braclets post, what is the format for a US phone to call a UK mobile.

If my number is 07123456789, how would this be dialled from a US phone?

Basically 011 44 and drop the leading zero off the number.
  1. Dial 011. This is the international access code.
  2. Dial 44. This is the country code for the United Kingdom.
  3. Dial the telephone number, omitting the leading 0.

Thanks SMAX, that's what I thought it was, but was doubting my googling abilities so wanted to double check
