Checked my preferences on the euro site and nothing ticked. I will be making sure that I pin them down when I collect my car to confirming no charges. This thread worried me last night.

Absolutely agree with checking receipt on car return, and advice to keep the receipt for filling the car with fuel.

When we arrived back at MCO this year in July, had to wait nearly 10 minutes until rep arrived to check our car - many people were just walking away and leaving cars without getting receipt.

Still highly doubtful having a receipt means you have actually filled the car up. I certainly wouldn't accept it as proof if I was running a business unless I witness the car being filled up. Better to take a picture of the fuel gauge showing full with something show the date and time on like the receipt when returning the car at the airport.

I don’t depend on fuel receipts etc. Always wait for the print from the returning reps machine showing zero charges outstanding. I know that my toll charges will follow as I choose the toll system rather than paying cash at tolls. This usually appears about a month after, and can be over two charges depending on the billing periods.

I also agree on photo and receipt showing no charges, but others when charged have used the fill up receipt when challenging a bill.

I've been asked for the receipt when returning a car in the UK. This was so that they could confirm where and when I filled up as I put very few miles on the clock.
