Universal base ticket - 2 parks in one day possible?

Hi All,

Ok, so I’ve got 4-day universal base tickets (inc. VB). We’ve used one day at VB already and are staying at RPR tomorrow using 2 more days of our ticket (US on day 1 and IOA on day two), I know we can’t move between parks with the Hogwarts Express and that’s ok.

My question is, would we be able to visit VB for the evening of one of these hotel days, effectively using “4th” day of our base ticket, effectively using 2 days’ worth of tickets in one day? Had such a great time there a few days ago and fancied experiencing it in the evening while we’ll be staying up that way anyway.

Anyone able to help? Thanks

No, I‘m afraid you can’t use 2 days in one day to go to 2 different parks in one day. You can’t park hop with the base tickets - park hopping means visiting 2 parks in one day. If you want to park hop you have to add the park hopping option. You can upgrade to add this if you want.

They are called “days” - not “visits” - for a reason.

Thanks for this Nimbus, I have deleted my above answer as it was wrong.

Thanks for clarifying Nimbus, I though this might be the case unfortunately. I wasn’t expecting to want to park hop in our original plans and it’s not an issue at all with out US/IOA planning, just wasn’t expecting to enjoy our time at VB so much that we’d want to go back! Had the best waterpsrk day there ever earlier in the week, maybe I’ll forfeit our upcoming Aquatica day and head bsck to VB instead?

Thanks again for your replies.

Considering you have 4 day tickets, then I assume you were planning on spending 4 days at the Universal parks? You can use your 4th day to visit Volcano Bay; it'll mean you'll get a full day at VB, plus you'll get a full day at the other theme park rather than leaving early to go to VB.

You can add park hopping onto your ticket - this will cost $65 each for your 3-Park 4-Day Base tickets. (This is the real reason why you can't use additional days to go to additional parks on the same day - the theme parks want more money from you! ).
