I had never heard of the dibb when we bought them otherwise we would have done

And whilst we are on about Ebay - those who collect autographs - 90% of autographs on Ebay are FAKES!

This case is pure and simple. The seller offered the tickets. The buyer paid for them. The tickets were sent and received by the buyer. The seller can't then change his mind. The contract was complete. Insist that Paypal make a charge-back and that you get a refund.

Can't offer any additional advice...sorry...what a hard lesson to learn... and I'm sure you don't need people to tell you that. Good luck.

I think the only thing Disney may be able to tell us is if the tickets are void. Anything after that they won't be able to help you as previously mentioned Disney don't want to know about people buying tickets from non authorized sellers
To be honest this really does seem like a scam on behalf of the ebay seller. Only thing you could do is write up a full detailed description of the events surrounding the tickets and include copies of emails from both parties and forward it to ebay and pay pal if you haven't already done so
I'm sorry to hear about your mishap but unfortunately it seems that new tickets may be the only option. Do have a look around at some of the recommended sellers on the DIBB as some are offering quite good deals on tickets.

I think the OP now realises the risk of buying tickets from Ebay. If you have exhausted the dispute via Ebay or Paypal route all you can do now is take your chances with the tickets but if Disney suspect they are not genuine or they have been cancelled and won't admit you through the turnstiles there is really nothing you can do other than fork out for new tickets at the gate. Disney take a very dim view of the black market in park tickets and will do nothing to help in this situation.

He should never have sold them knowing they were, or were going to be, cancelled since he had cancelled his holiday.

Sorry to hear about your plight.

Cannot help in any way but just wanted to wish you good luck in trying to resolve your situation. If you do call disney then you can use someone like 'justcall'. Dial 0844 869 9900 and when it asks for the number dial 001 first. It only costs 1p per minute.

If you send the details of the tickets to Disney - can they tell you if they are valid? Say a friend bought them for you and you want to check they're real
